Do you or a family member currently have health insurance through Health First Colorado (Colorado’s Medicaid Program)?  If so, here’s what you need to know: Everyone with Medicaid and Child Health Plan Plus (CHP+) health insurance will need to renew their coverage in the coming year.

Durango School District 9-R announces a hiring bonus for newly hired staff who begin an Educational Support Professional, Student Service Provider, Licensed Staff, Administrator, or Managerial Technical position with us in the time frame of January 1, 2023 to March 17, 2023.

Due to the number of Snow Day school closures this winter, Durango School District 9-R has announced a plan to make up school days in the remainder of the 2022/23 school year.

There was a threat to Durango High School this morning. Staff and students at all of our schools are safe.

As we begin the new school year, The IT department has been busy updating changes to student usernames and passwords.

Currently just over 15% of the Bond funds have been committed, with 85% remaining.
Local participation remains strong, with 69% of funds allocated locally (including charter allocations).

Thank you for entrusting us with your students this school year and for your support and patience. It has been a wonderful start to the year even with the COVID precautions we have had to implement.

This year, Durango School District 9-R will provide breakfast and lunch to all students free of charge, regardless of the child’s free or reduced-price meal benefit status.

With less than a month before school begins, we wanted to remind families, both new and existing, to complete registration for their student(s) on InfiniteCampus.
