Nifty Nanny to Offer Remote Learning Support and Enrichment Program

Beginning Thursday, November 12th, we will be enrolling only 10 students daily for our Remote Learning Support & Enrichment Program. Our program will be a full day, 8am-4pm, offered Monday through Friday. You can select which days you want to attend or you can sign up for 10 or 25 consecutive days for a steal of a deal and guaranteed spot in our program!

9-R Transportation Guidelines 2020/21

Durango School District 9-R Transportation Department will be making changes to routes in the 2020-2021 school year.

To ensure social distancing and in accordance with Colorado Department of Education and Federal guidelines concerning COVID-19 the Transportation Department will operate all buses at fifty percent (50%) capacity. This will mean a seventy-eight passenger bus will now transport 39 students at a time.

ABC Award Winners!

We were so excited to partner with McDonald's in recognizing our amazing teacher’s for going “Above and Beyond the Call,” or ABC, with an ABC Award, which includes a cash prize of $500 for a lucky teacher at each school site!

We received many wonderful and heartwarming nominations from parents throughout the community who were blown away by their efforts to adjust their instruction to meet kids at home during the COVID-19 closure.

Juniper School Cohort to Quarantine

On November 2, 2020 9-R was notified by San Juan Basin Public Health (SJBPH) that an individual at the Juniper School tested positive for COVID-19. The school and the district are working proactively with SJBPH to make the appropriate notifications and next steps for those who may have been in close contact with this individual.
