ALL 4TH AND 5TH GRADE FAMILIES: COLS overnight Trip URGENT NEWS!!!

By MONDAY (August 26) at 3:30pm: ALL paperwork, Physical Doctors Note, Fundraising cards MUST BE PICKED UP IN PERSON at the school. Upper teachers have everything ready to go and are at school from 7:30-4pm daily. Only 3 families have returned paperwork at this point. *Please read and complete all forms in entirety as there are sections for the students to sign as well!

By Friday (August 30) at 3:30pm: ALL PAPERWORK IS DUE!!!! This includes the permission slip, the physical doctors/health form.

COLS, 2 night overnight camp is scheduled for MONDAY SEPT 16 - WEDNESDAY SEPT 18. There is MANDATORY paperwork needed in order for you child to attend. The deadlines are MANDATORY as the timeline is very short. We are requesting that all UPPER ELEMENTARY FAMILIES please turn all mandatory paperwork in by deadlines to ensure that all students can attend!

UPDATE for FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL: Kiss-n-Go

There will be NO KISS-N-GO lane on Monday morning (only Mon. 8/26) due to our opening ceremony. All student drop-offs can be made on the front lawn/BPHS main entrance on 12th street. There will be teacher supervision starting at 8:15am. We hope you stay for our short ceremony! TJS breakfast eaters are be welcome to arrive through TJS doors and go directly to the cafeteria between 7:45am-8:15am.

Pediatric Partners of the Southwest To Provide Medical Oversight of DHS School-Based Health Clinic

Pediatric Partners of the Southwest will assume operations as the medical provider for the School-Based Health Center (SBHC) at Durango High School effective July 1, 2019.


The School-Based Health Centers have been a partnership between Durango School District 9-R and Axis Health System (AHS) for the last 12 years. AHS and 9-R worked closely over the years to develop the SBHC model of supports and services for students and youth in the area, providing high-quality and accessible healthcare to La Plata County. Pediatric Partners of the Southwest (PPSW) is well positioned to assume the medical sponsorship and direct health care services at the Durango High School SBHC.
