Pediatric Partners of the Southwest To Provide Medical Oversight of DHS School-Based Health Clinic

Pediatric Partners of the Southwest will assume operations as the medical provider for the School-Based Health Center (SBHC) at Durango High School effective July 1, 2019.


The School-Based Health Centers have been a partnership between Durango School District 9-R and Axis Health System (AHS) for the last 12 years. AHS and 9-R worked closely over the years to develop the SBHC model of supports and services for students and youth in the area, providing high-quality and accessible healthcare to La Plata County. Pediatric Partners of the Southwest (PPSW) is well positioned to assume the medical sponsorship and direct health care services at the Durango High School SBHC.

COWPOKE DAY AT TJS!!!

Thursday October 3rd! Dress up like the best cowpoke you can to celebrate Durango's Cowboy Gathering. We will have special cowboy poets and performers visiting the school on Thursday afternoon. *NO TOY WEAPONS OF ANY KIND ALLOWED!!!

TJS will also march in the Cowboy Parade on Saturday October 5! See Ms. Stacey for questions and all students parading MUST fill out a permission slip!

Juniper Open House!

Join us on Tuesday September 10 from 5pm-6pm for our open house showcase!
At 5:00pm, we will all gather in the cafeteria to hear from TJS Head of School; 5:10-5:45pm you will join your child's teacher team for classroom tours; at 5:45pm socialize with lemonade and treats on the front lawn!

DATE CORRECTION: COLS overnight Parent Information Meeting

We will host two information sessions for families regarding the upcoming COLS trip. The same information will be covered in both sessions.
Session 1: Wednesday, September 4, 8:00-8:15
Session 2: Wednesday, September 4, 3:30-3:45
*Sign in at BPHS front office and come up to the Painted Turtle Classroom!*

COLS, 2 night overnight camp is scheduled for MONDAY SEPT 16 - WEDNESDAY SEPT 18. There is MANDATORY paperwork needed in order for you child to attend. The deadlines are MANDATORY as the timeline is very short. We are requesting that all UPPER ELEMENTARY FAMILIES please turn all mandatory paperwork in by deadlines to ensure that all students can attend!
