We have officially closed on our building and TJS is proud owners of 225 Sawyer Drive and the 4 acres on the property as well!!! The Juniper Board of Directors and Juniper Building Corporation will be hearing public bids next week and selecting a contractor to get started! We wanted to provide some additional information for questions that we have been receiving as well.
Next steps! Here are the tasks our board is working on for next action steps:
We are so grateful for Inspire Week!!!! We have had 15 Animas High School sophomores, guided by advisors Lori Fischer and Tina Hott, designing and planning the new TJS outdoor space. Thank you to the parents, teachers and students that participated in the focus groups and online survey---the AHS were able to gain lots of ideas and information to put into their design. Our goals were to design an outdoor space that aligns to our Mission, Vision, Values to provide outdoor opportunities for imaginative play, integrated art and music, purposeful garden spaces, large and fine motor play, games, some equipment, safe spots and much much more…..!!! The AHS team will be presenting their design to TJS at Friday assembly on March 6th, don’t miss it!
**A special thank you to Ferol Johnson with Colorado Stonescape; Kelsey Reeder and Jim Dyer as garden design experts!
