Greetings, my name is Kricket Servis. I was born and raised in Conifer, Colorado. For twelve years, I have taught K - 5th grades in public, charter and private schools. Before moving to Durango, I taught along the Front Range in Golden and Denver, as well as volunteered for 10 winter seasons as an adaptive ski instructor at Winter Park. After living and volunteering in Ethiopia during college, I continued my education to become a teacher; from the University of Colorado, I have a Masters in Curriculum and Instruction with an emphasis in Linguistically Diverse Education. My second language focus is Russian, however, I studied a wide variety of languages at the University of Oregon, including computer science! Outside of teaching, I am a digital illustrator, and an outdoor adventure enthusiast. I enjoy all of Durango’s outdoor opportunities, including mountain climbing, skiing, small town vibes, and giving back to a great community. I am super excited to meet your child this year, and be a part of the Juniper team!. As we embark on this new learning adventure together, please don’t hesitate to connect with me at your leisure.
